You're at a gas station, and a little girl is sleeping in the back seat. Talk to your husband about how he's feeling (his face is shown in the status bar). He'll tell you that his throat hurts just a little and ask you to try to find a first-aid kit. Take the pen from his pocket. Go to the right and talk to the man about everything shown in the status bar. As for the first-aid kit, it doesn’t look promising, because the nearest pharmacy is a hundred meters away, and the guy with glasses, of course, refuses to let you in. Well, it looks like he’s hiding something, so go left and pull the cassette and the broken walkie-talkie out of the trash can. Go back to the cashier (his name is Rick) and, where the photos of missing people are, pick up the screwdriver. In your inventory, combine Jonathan’s pen with the broken walkie-talkie, and then combine the result with the screwdriver. Then click on it—the walkie-talkie is working. Click on it one more time; it will start crackling, and as a result, the walkie-talkie on Rick’s desk will start crackling too. This will catch his attention, and you can now go to the left, where the cat is eating, and then behind the counter (it’s roughly in the middle of the screen). Now you’re behind Rick. Pick up the keys from the shelf on the right, and there’s a lighter on the left. Go all the way back to where the little girl is sleeping (so you’re right next to her) and take the lighter from her pocket.

In my opinion, it's the best adventure game. Great atmosphere, story, and interaction—and even the hand-drawn graphics are good. Who agrees? :)

And in order to play that second cassette, you have to read the message on the player. Just try to read and look through absolutely everything so it’ll let you continue—if you want to be sure.

All right, then. With a little help from the walkthrough, I’m putting together a complete guide. You find yourself on a small road in the middle of the forest. You see Jonathan, your husband, in front of you. Point at his head (this will let you talk to him). In the left column of topics you can discuss with him, there’s practically only the map. Click on it. He’ll tell you that the map is in the trunk of the car. Use the arrow at the top of the topic column to end the conversation. Go left. Take the bottle and the keys from the broken window. Go right to the trunk of the car and use the keys on it. Try to open the trunk—it won’t open; it’s locked. Head toward the sign in the distance. There’s a rope down by the yellow marker. Take it and go left. You’re back at the trunk. Run right three times, then into the woods. Try clicking on the shiny object in the distance. Ida (the woman you’re playing as) tells you to go find Jonathan. Do so and talk to him about the rope. After a bit of grumbling, he’ll make a noose out of it for you. Run back into the woods and use the noose on the shiny object. You’ll get a piece of wood. Take it back to the trunk of the car and hit the trunk with it five times. The trunk will open; take the map from it. Go back to that distant sign and then straight ahead. An animation follows in which the couple walks along the road and argues because it’s all a bit much for them. You’ll now find yourself at a gas station. Go to the door and click on the window. This lets you look inside, where you won’t see anyone. Click to the left to back out of it. Suddenly, sirens start blaring, a strange fog begins to spread everywhere, a guy wearing glasses runs out of the door, and hurriedly shoves you inside, snapping that there will be time for questions later.

One more little thing to help you move on—once you pick up the man's signal from the radio, you have to talk to Seth and Rick and then try to leave the gas station. That's the only way to turn the two of them against each other.

Exactly, it's half like *Silent Hill* (a little girl, fog, a car accident, a sign marking the town) and half like *The Mist* (fog, a gas station, flying monsters with stingers)...

You're now at the pharmacy. Go to that building and then through the door. Walk between the eggs and go through the door where the light is coming from. None of the doors will open. So go all the way back to the car at the beginning and head into the woods. Place the toy car on the scratches and use the controls. Now you have to drive the toy car all the way to that shiny thing and then back. You have the key. Run all the way to the pharmacy and open the door closest to you. There’s a rifle to the right of the corpse. Pick it up and shoot the monster by the second door. Go there and you’ll find Rick, who’s been impaled by stinger spines. Pick up the box of ammo and the first-aid kit he’s holding in his hand. Head back. A wild shootout ensues with the monsters and the people they’ve attacked. Try to shoot as many of them as possible at once, because you can only fire twice in a row before you have to reload, which takes quite a while. After the shootout, go back to the gas station, but Seth will somehow snap and lock you in the basement. Click on Amy a few times, then on the mattress, and then on her again a few times. Click on Irina’s gag, then take the screwdriver from your inventory and use it on the rag wrapped around her shoulders. Then, in your inventory, separate the car keys from the photo (use an item), click on the top edge of the photo, and then on what you separated. You’ll get a hairpin, which you can use to unlock the handcuffs. Ira remembers her late daughter, who was hit by a car (a very gruesome image). A crazed Seth shoots the boy, wounds her husband, and things start to get bad. The husband, who has also been stabbed by the monsters, kills Seth with an axe in a fit of madness. Go to the pharmacy where Seth’s body lies. Pick up the key next to him. Go to the gas station and use the keys on the cars parked there. But they run out of gas on the way. In the end, Jonathan himself asks Ira to shoot him because he doesn’t want to suffer—he says he deserves it—so he can be reunited with his deceased daughter, Anya. The game ends with Ira trying to call for help on the radio, but no one answers...

In your inventory, combine the lighter with the deodorant twice in a row (not the deodorant with the lighter). This will give you a flamethrower. Go to the guy with glasses and talk to him about everything on the menu. You’ll learn that even if you had a phone, there’s no signal here, and that there’s something supernatural outside. He’ll also tell you about how he found little Amy (the little girl who’s sleeping) in the smoke outside and that her parents are missing. He’ll also have a bit of an argument with Rick—whom you can talk to later—and you’ll learn that the two of them aren’t exactly on good terms. Anyway, use the flamethrower to set the flies on fire. They’ll move toward the trash can. Set them on fire again. Now they’re near the cat. Set them on fire, which will also set the cat on fire; it’ll glow and leave a nice streak on the mirror Rick uses to keep watch to see if you’re heading toward the restricted door. Now you can go through the door marked “Staff Only.” Use the keys you took from Rick to unlock the second locker. You’ll get a flashlight. Go left and talk to the guy again about all sorts of things. During one of your conversations, his machine will make a loud noise, but that’s not important. After the conversation ends, pick up the ping-pong ball he dropped. Go back to where you were and head down the stairs. Above the mattress near the boxes is a remote control for a toy car. Combine it with the flashlight and go back (to the right and then back). Run over to Rick and click on the remote in your inventory. This will make you drive off with his toy car, and while he’s picking it up, grab the walkie-talkie from the table. Click on the top edge of the radio (to adjust the antenna), then click the green button at the bottom right of the radio, and then click through all the buttons by holding down the spacebar, hold it down, point the mouse at a button, and click (start with the one at the top left, then the one below it, then the one next to it, and finally the one at the top right).

Wow, you could make a movie out of this game. I applaud the creators. Very few people can create such a gloomy atmosphere...

Please, I don't know what to do next. That guard—or whoever he is—tied up the girl. I managed to remove her gag using a paperclip, but I don't know how to untie her hands.
