I'm sorry for my previous comments: This game is awesome. When I played it before, I wasn't very good at it, but now I'm good at it, and I'd say the Moors are a little weaker, but otherwise, the English and the Germans are really awesome.

I recommend the Anglicans—they're the best and have their own island. Otherwise, the game is awesome.

If you prefer an offensive strategy, I recommend the Germans. You can expand pretty quickly with them.
But if you prefer to defend, play as the English—no one can ever fight their way onto the islands.
The Moors, on the other hand, have the best units (you’ll get them faster).
Playing as the French is more of a challenge.
And if you’re a masochist, go ahead and play as the Spanish.

It's an amazing game! But it's a real shame that the turns are counted down :,-( I played as the English, and it took me 45 years to conquer the whole world XD. I LIKE IT!

It's fun to play as the Germans because they have a lot of territory right from the start

Good game. As for the Germans, 15 Teutonic Knights are impossible to defeat in a manual battle, but in an automatic battle, you mainly need a lot of strong units.
The French have their Paladins; otherwise, they’re just as strong as the Teutonic Knights in manual battles.
The English have the strongest heavy cavalry.
The Spanish and Moors—they have a tough time unless they control a lot of territory; once they do, they’re nearly impossible to defeat.
