No bugs, Son of Zeus difficulty: Time taken: 5.5 years Units trained: 209 Enemies killed: 3,273 Gold earned: 622,092 If you don’t believe it, give it a try—just buy and upgrade cavalry and money, and send units into battle so they don’t encounter the enemy at all, or only at the very end when they have the greatest momentum. With a little practice, you can easily win by attacking every turn (I only lost one battle by accident).

I'm sorry, I was wrong about the balance. There are command points in the game, and they determine (I didn't notice this... I usually had around 800–1,000) how many units you can deploy. So I have to disappoint you—it's even simpler than I originally thought. ☺

(I'm writing this in a hurry and it's late, so I apologize for any spelling mistakes ☺)
I'm adding these to my conquest games*
(Just for fun: games/1140/, games/2185/, games/1427/, games/2046/, games/1722/ ++ I'm planning to play: game/12680-battle-for-the-galaxy + game/14298-evilgame-io)

The "Son of Zeus" difficulty is the only one that didn't give me an error (I moved through Cappadocia & Babylonia = no error, vs.): (I.) Quick unit presets (typically 1-3, 1-4) get messed up (6,6,6,6 ... etc.) = about a 20% reduction in infantry command abilities & high command point gain (... always results in an *error* at *KHWARAZIMA*, attack first routed through: Lydia & Scythia & Sarmatia & Khwarazima & Parthia & Persia = error (King & Emperor) + (II.) Command points carry over from the previous map (again and again) ... which is why you typically start (I repeat: Emperor & King difficulty) with 400 (, 800, over 1,000) command points --- there’s no issue with Son of Zeus

*A battle can end even without completely destroying the opponent* ... (I recommend keeping an eye on the slider at the top)
*Archers cause the greatest losses (among infantry) ... (*timing and the number of units deployed*)
*Balance applies to the number of units on the battlefield**
The game isn’t just about victories. *In the first turn, always replenish your army; in the second, improve it* (Assumption: the enemy will attack at any time (lacks proper respect) = cannot scout and fight = lack of time = I’ll skip the attack—the enemy will attack all the more—I’ll be weakened)
As a passionate player of *Rome: Total War I* from 2004, simple strategy isn’t a problem for me. I’ll analyze the enemy, weigh the potential losses, and precisely determine who will face whom. Then it’s just a matter of clicking through. (Don’t lose your cool if the battle doesn’t end right away… you need to *stick to your strategy* and push forward—no matter what happens)
*One piece of good advice to wrap things up: Don’t try to defend against every attack—you’ll just waste units (in numbers) on the battlefield. + Attack where you know your units will have time to land safely. Losing units right as they enter the battlefield is a real bummer. (e.g., cavalry vs. cavalry—when I know that cavalry has a 200% attack bonus on the first strike = our cavalry doesn’t even have to hit) + The only research: TOP Cavalry for 30,000 (1,000 per unit)
I wish everyone a great experience and success in devising strategies

Not bad... for a first try: 12 years + 1,286 trained units + 3,216 enemies killed + 1,576,982 gold spent (Difficulty: Normal)
//From about halfway through the map (near the town above Parthia), I kept getting some kind of error, and the keyboard shortcuts were displaying: (6,7,8,9 / 1,1,1,1 / 3,3,3,3 ...) --- It didn’t crash when the day ended
(= P.S.: It’s very similar to Sword Fall Kingdoms (I’ll definitely try it again—it’s a nice, relaxing game))

You have to go to Armory, and that's where you refill them, but it's a bit of a hassle.
