Dicewars

I really liked this game :) The best strategy is to choose a stronger square (1 to start with) where there are 3 dice stacked on top of each other, don’t play, wait it out, and let it grow to two full columns, then gradually chip away at the other countries—but don’t forget to let the dice grow so you have two full columns in as many territories as possible. Drastic, all-out attacks don’t pay off (speaking from experience)—if you don’t have reserves, your cubes will be redistributed and others will steal them from you :) Otherwise, there’s cooperation in this game too—if you don’t attack someone, they (mostly), so it’s better to let some (medium-sized) countries live and work together to take down the ones that are expanding too much—and maybe that big country will run into trouble again, and then you can help it against another country that’s expanding. The main thing is to have two full columns everywhere and a bit of luck (sometimes you go for one column and the one above you wins anyway. If you roll low on the dice, you’re out of luck.) But on the other hand, if everything went your way without you even trying, would you even enjoy it? The game isn’t very hard—especially when two are fighting, the third one laughs. That’s why it’s better to let two countries fight it out and profit from it for your own benefit. Destroying small countries didn’t pay off for me, because I ended up alone with just two or three tiles against the entire map, which was controlled by a single opponent. Of course, I got crushed :-D. So, once again, my advice: cooperate with those who are useful to you (the smaller, equally harmless countries like yourself; let them grow a bit so they can compete with the country that’s grown the most, because then more countries will attack that big country, and together they can completely destroy it. And if you’re the big country, no one will take that spot from you—as long as you’re at least a little skilled and have some luck :)

I haven't seen anywhere here what determines how many cubes you're awarded at the end of your turn. So I’ll write it here: You get as many dice as the number of adjacent spaces that make up your largest territory (i.e., not the total number of spaces you have); the spaces must be adjacent to each other. The cubes are placed randomly on your spaces, up to a maximum of 8.

I've won and lost this game several times now. And I can say that it's a very fun game that always entertains me.

My advice is not to spread out too much, because when you spread out, you end up with a lot of weak territories and many of them will be destroyed; but if you have a lot of strong territories, you can spread out—just not too much.

You guys must be totally stupid—it's so simple... You try to fill the entire board with your color (purple) tiles. First click on your own tiles, then on your opponent's... You’ll either win or lose… depending on how many squares you’ve taken, that’s how many cubes you’ll get replenished after each round… but the squares have to be contiguous; if they’re disconnected, only the largest contiguous group counts, not all of them

It's awesome—it's perfect...

I only enjoyed the first round of this game; I didn't do as well in the second round, and besides, it was boring to play it a second time. BUT one thing that really baffles me is that I had 4 dice and the enemy had only 1, and guess what happened... Yep, he won—and it wasn’t the first time this happened to me; it happened at least 10 times. I give it a 4/10. The game is only good for a little while—the new games that have come out since are nothing special!!!
