The New Hope campaign isn't hard to finish; here's my surefire strategy for winning: The first levels are really easy; in the later ones, the best strategy is to quickly build 4 Gatling guns and one laser. Upgrade the guns quickly—start with the middle one, then the one on the right. Upgrade the laser as well—start with the one on the right, though it probably doesn’t matter much. Building 5—the financial building—keep upgrading it until your income reaches about 100, then feel free to tear it down. 7th building: Airfield—upgrade the planes using Active Cancellation for 1,200 and immediately start sending out an endless stream of stealth fighters. As soon as you have an upgraded anti-missile laser, you can demolish one Gatling turret and build another airfield in its place. Follow the same procedure as before. Once you’ve destroyed the enemy’s base, you can demolish another Gatling turret and build a large factory in its place, upgrade the tanks, and start sending them out. Then, replace the financial center with a second factory, and you’re all set. It’s a bit more complicated with the Snakes; I haven’t played the campaign, but in Skirmish mode, it’s important to quickly build 4 ATGMs and one SAM site. Upgrade both the ATGMs and the SAM to the maximum as quickly as possible. Build a labor camp as your 6th building, gradually increasing profits up to 100. 7th building—SSM; upgrade it as well, ideally the 1,700 upgrade or the two previous ones—that’s usually enough. Raid it with nuclear missiles; then you can dismantle one ATGM and build another SSM in its place, upgrade that as well, and go after it. Then you can dismantle another ATGM and build a tank factory in its place. If you have enough income, demolish the labor camp and feel free to take down another tank factory. And that’s it :-)
