It's awful—why do they do this? Isn't natural beauty more important than foundation, concealer, and powder? But of course I understand that this is the sponsors’ goal—to drum into the heads of young girls that the meaning of our lives isn’t to be unique revolutionaries, but cute cheerleaders/schoolgirls in pleated skirts for whom jeans and hoodies are taboo, who are hopelessly in love with a tall, buff athlete who doesn’t notice them, yet they still gently and supposedly cutely strut around in sandals, burst into tears when their nail polish chips, or when their favorite women’s magazine sells out... It’s awful. Let’s not be like that—let’s not make ourselves beautiful for guys, but for ourselves. Let’s put an end to this stereotype! Please, I don’t want to think we’re such idiots—or even worse...
